30th SAG Awards: Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners

The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are being presented in a ceremony streaming live from the Shrine Auditorium on Netflix.

I’ll be posting updates live–well, as live as a current wrist injury will allow me to do so.

Following the opening, there was a fun bit reuniting the stars of The Devil Wears Prada: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt.

As previously announced, the legendary actor, singer, producer, writer, and director Barbra Streisand is honored with the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievements and humanitarian accomplishments during the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony.

I love that Barbara is using her speech to talk about the early studio moguls leaving Eastern Europe because of Jew-hatred.

Robert Downey Jr.: “Unlike my other nominees, I will never tire from the sound of my own voice.”

Why did RDJ openly thank an antisemitic bigot?

Best Actress is going to go down to the wire in a race between Lily Gladstone and Emma Stone. We’re in the middle of Oscars voting right now so it’ll be interesting to see what impact, if any, tonight’s ceremony will have on the March 10 ceremony.
