Thor: Ragnarok is Marvel’s Most Fun Film

Thor: Ragnarok is Marvel’s most fun film and raises the bar as Thor teams up with Hulk to save Asgard. It’s been 2.5 years since Thor (Chris Hemsworth) left to look for Odin at the end of Avengers 2: Age of Ultron.  Meanwhile, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) was seen departing for who knows where following the attack on Sokovia. Thor: Ragnarok‘s awesome cold open featuring Thor and Surtur sets the tone of the film with both…

Did Marvel’s Inhumans underwhelm in IMAX?

Marvel’s Inhumans brought in $1.5 million over Labor Day weekend from 393 theaters in North America.  It shouldn’t be considered an underwhelming performance. I’m a Marvel fan and while I do watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I’m seriously backed up on their Netflix programming.  I’ll be watching Marvel’s Inhumans during the upcoming 2017-18 television season but the fact of the matter is that I just wasn’t willing to fork over $14 or more to see it…

This summer saw the releases of Alien: Covenant, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Transformers: The Last Knight.  Unfortunately for the studios, audiences just really didn’t care to see them.  It didn’t help that several movies in the franchise preceded them. Despite the box office appeal of Tom Cruise and Russell…
