Marvel Studios released the trailer and key art for the upcoming Secret Invasion series following the trailer airing during Sunday Night Baseball.

Fans watching the Philadelphia Phillies play the Texas Rangers were lucky enough to catch the trailer live on TV. If not, you’re in luck because I’ve got you covered below. Even after watching the first trailer for the series, Marvel is smart to not give away too much ahead of the series premiere on June 21, exclusively on Disney+. I would prefer to go into the series knowing very little bit that’s just me. We’ll see what the marketing looks like closer to release. Last year’s marketing for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also spoiled a bit too much ahead of the film. In any event, the espionage thriller is sure to be a hit.

Marvel Studios is also going to be spreading out their Disney+ content after the past few years. As far as MCU, we’ll be getting Secret Invasion, Loki, and maybe the second season of What If?… in 2023. My understanding is that X-Men ’97 is also arriving this year, too. By spreading things out further, it will lessen the chances of Marvel fatigue between theaters and Disney+.

Here’s a synopsis from Marvel Studios:

In Marvel Studios’ new series “Secret Invasion,” set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle.

Ali Selim directs the series and executive-produces, along with fellow executive producers Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali Selim, Kyle Bradstreet and Brian Tucker. Kyle Bradstreet is also the head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.
