The U.S. Olympic Trials are underway with Track and Field coming into the spotlight NBC as the Summer Olympics in Tokyo inches closer.

With swimming coming to a close over the weekend, Track and Field events will start to take over primetime on NBC. More than 20 hours of live coverage over eight nights from Eugene, Ore. will begin on Friday. Coverage will be spread across NBC, NBCSN, and Peacock. Peacock will live stream the NBCSN coverage. Six nights of primetime coverage on NBC will run from June 18-21 and June 24-27. This weekend, coverage will follow U.S. Open golf and the U.S. Olympic Trials for swimming. (Update: USA Track and Field has updated their schedule for the second weekend due to the extreme heat.)

Meanwhile, NBC will also debut the Jonas Brothers new single “Remember This” during the Track and Field trials on Friday, June 18. The song will be accompanied by a message from the band and footage from some of the greatest Olympic moments.

Meanwhile, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app will present exclusive streaming coverage of select field events, including long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, hammer, javelin, discus, 20km race walk, decathlon and heptathlon from Eugene.

Among the names to watch during the Track and Field trials”

  • Noah Lyles, 200m world champion aiming to make his first Olympic team
  • Dalilah Muhammad, a 2016 Olympic Champion in the women’s 400m hurdles
  • Sydney McLaughlin, 2019 world silver medalist in the women’s 400m hurdles
  • Allyson Felix, the most decorated American woman in Olympic Track and Field history and six-time Olympic gold medalist
  • Sandi Morris, the 2016 Olympic silver medalist pole vaulter
  • Grant Holloway, the reigning 100m hurdles world champion

It all leads up to the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo, Japan, which will take place July 23-Aug. 8.
