TBS unveils 2017 Fall Slate, renews Angie Tribeca for Fourth Season

Angie Tribeca

In addition to unveiling their fall slate, TBS has renewed police comedy Angie Tribeca for a fourth season.

The news comes during the Television Critics Association bi-annual meeting.  Not only is the series, starring Rashida Jones, renewed but the fourth season will welcome two-time Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale.  Is this an effort to attract some interest from the Emmy Awards voters?  Maybe.

In getting renewed, Angie Tribeca becomes the first of the recent TBS comedies to see a fourth season picked up.  The first two seasons aired in 2016 and the third season started up this past April.  In the coveted 18-49 demographic, the series picked up a 13% increase in viewers during the second season and an 8% increase for the recently-finished season 3.  A top ten comedy performer on cable in all the target demographics, TBS picked up another ten episodes to be aired in 2018.  The third season episodes can be viewed by subscribers through tbs.com, the TBS app and TBS On-Demand.

Created and executive produced by Nancy and Steve Carell, Ira Ungerleider serves as executive producer and show runner.

TBS also announced premiere dates for their fall slate.
