The Good Place is Back for Season 2 and It’s Awesome!

The Good Place comes back tonight for an hour-long second season premiere on NBC and it’s an awesome good time!

Created by Michael Schur, the sitcom stars Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, D’Arcy Carden, and Ted Danson.

The first season ended on the craziest twist I’ve seen in a while: it turned out that The Good Place is actually The Bad Place.  Going into the new season, viewers know more about what’s going on than Eleanor Shellstrop (Bell) does.  Together with ethics professor Chidi (Harper), neighbors Tahani (Jamil) and supposed monk Jianyu whose really Jason (Jacinto), the four of them along with Janet, their go-to source for any information in The Good Place, are rebooted and Janet came to Eleanor with a note that says: “Eleanor, Find Chidi.”

Now that you’re all caught up on the first season, the show has to find a way to be reinvented for the second season.  And it does.  Michael (Danson) has his plans for The Good Place 2.0.  Michael has to be able to pull it off without any problems or there’s a good chance that he’ll lose his job but nobody watching The Good Place wants that to happen.

With so many twists and turns during season one, nobody honestly knows what should even be expected in season 2.  I’ve already viewed the next two episodes following the season premiere and if those are any indication, we’re in for a treat this season.

Without giving anything away from tonight’s hour-long premiere on NBC, I can say that we’re in for one heck of a ride.  Twists and turns are to be expected for Eleanor and the gang!  What happens when Eleanor finds Chidi?  Well, you’ll just have to tune in and find out.

Following tonight’s hour-long premiere on NBC at 10 PM ET/PT, The Good Place will air Thursdays on NBC at 8:30-9 PM ET/PT.
