Ahead of its third season premiere on October 13, Batwoman: The Complete Second Season made its arrival on both Blu-ray and DVD.
The series had its work cut out following the departure of Ruby Rose after the first season. How do you stay true to the character’s nature while also bringing in a replacement? They did this in two ways, both in bringing in Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder and Wallis Day as Kate Kane. The casting of Day as Kane is another example of casting a Jewish role with a non-Jewish actor, a practice that desperately needs to stop. The other thing that Batwoman did during the second season was respond to current events when it came to policing.
