Amazon Prime Video: Coming in October 2021

Amazon Prime Video announced the films, series, and specials that will be coming to Prime Video and IMDb TV in October 2021.

October brings new Amazon Originals including the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3, an extraordinary fashion experience featuring performances and special appearances from global stars; Birds of Paradise, adapted from the novel “Bright Burning Stars,” follows two dancers at an elite ballet academy in Paris competing for a contract to join the highly coveted Opéra national de Paris; All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs, narrated by actor and lifelong Maple Leafs fan Will Arnett, is the first of the All or Nothing franchise to follow an NHL team; Do, Re & Mi: Halloween Harmony, a Halloween-themed special following the Beebopsburgh birdies enjoying some spooky fun; My Name is Pauli Murray, a documentary on the life and ideas of Pauli Murray, a non-binary Black lawyer, activist and poet who influenced both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Thurgood Marshall; Justin Bieber: Our World, which takes viewers both on and off stage as Justin Bieber delivers his first full concert in three years; I Know What You Did Last Summer, a new series based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel, which was also the basis of the iconic 1997 film; a new special episode of Pan y Circo, hosted by actor Diego Luna; more episodes of kids’ shows Jessy and Nessy and If You Give A Mouse A Cookie; premiere of Maradona: Blessed Dream, a biographical drama based on the life of the legendary soccer star; and Fairfax, an adult animated comedy series that follows the misadventures of four middle schoolers on a never ending quest for clout.

Produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Television and Amazon Studios, Welcome to the Blumhouse returns to Prime Video this October with four new films, starting with double feature Bingo Hell and Black as Night, streaming October 1, and then an additional double feature of The Manor and Madres, streaming the following Friday on October 8.

  • All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs brings fans closer to the Toronto Maple Leafs organization than ever before, with cameras capturing every moment during the 104th NHL regular season and playoffs. During a season unlike any before it, the series follows the team on-and-off the ice as they become the first all-Canadian North Division Champions, before facing off against their Original Six rival, the Montreal Canadiens, in the first round of the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Actor and lifelong Maple Leafs fan Will Arnett narrates the series. Streaming October 1

  • In this Halloween themed special, Do, Re & Mi: Halloween Harmony, the Beebopsburgh birdies enjoy the spooky fun on the Day of the Pumpkin. Will Do be able to conquer his fear of scary pumpkins to enjoy the Harvest Festival with Re and Mi? And how will Mi find a way out of the scarecrow maze? With music as the answer, of course!   • Jessy and Nessy is a series about Jessy, an innately curious little girl and her best friend, Nessy, a five-and-a-half-thousand-year-old purple sea monster. Jessy happens to see the world a little differently through her magical glasses called ‘Inspectacles’. Together this unlikely duo explore life’s curiosities and reveal how all of these seemingly everyday curiosities have fantastical answers. New episodes streaming October 8

  • Pan y Circo returns with new special episodes where the ritual of food becomes again a space for dialogue on different points of view. In each special, the actor, producer and director Diego Luna will be in charge of cooking and hosting these conversations on fundamental issues for society, with guests representing different positions that are shared as part of a meal. This time the table will be set in Mexico City and New York with episodes premiering throughout the year. New special episode streaming October 8

  • Written and executive produced by Sara Goodman, I Know What You Did Last Summer is based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel, which was also the basis of the iconic 1997 film. One year after the fatal car accident that haunted their graduation night, a group of teenagers find themselves bound together by a dark secret and stalked by a brutal killer. As they try to piece together who’s after them, they reveal the dark side of their seemingly perfect town—and themselves.   • Leverage: Redemption (Fall Premiere – 8 New Episodes) – The rich and powerful take what they want, and the Leverage team is back to take them down. Sophie Devereaux (The Grifter), Parker (The Thief), Eliot Spencer (The Hitter), and Alec Hardison (The Hacker) have watched the world change over the last eight years. It’s become easier, and sometimes legal, for the rich to become richer and the powerful to squash anyone who gets in their way. Live Sports

  • Prime Video returns for another season of Thursday Night Football, beginning on October 7 (Week 5) when the Seattle Seahawks host the LA Rams in an NFC West showdown at 8:20 p.m. ET/5:20 p.m. PT. This is the first of 11 TNF games airing on Prime Video this season. TNF is available through Prime Video at no additional cost to a Prime membership, with access across hundreds of compatible devices including Fire TV and tablet, Android and iOS mobile devices, and web browser, and streaming in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. Prime Video becomes the exclusive home to TNF in 2022 with 15 Thursday Night Football games per year and one pre-season game per year.
