A $30 movie rental service is expected to be released in 2018, reports The Hollywood Reporter. According to the report, both Comcast and Amazon have joined Apple in helping to develop a system that will deliver premium VOD titles to be viewed in home for just 30-45 days after they are released in theaters.  It has the potential to be more expensive to rent the movies than it would be to see them in theaters…

Comedian Jerry Lewis has died at the age of 91. Lewis, one-half of the popular Martin and Lewis duo with Dean Martin, hosted the annual MDA telethon over Labor Day weekend from 1966 through 2010.
