Lineup announced for 44th Telluride Film Festival

The lineup was announced this morning for the 44th Telluride Film Festival.  Not surprisingly, there are a handful of films making their premiere and will likely be considered for the Oscars.  The Telluride Film Festival will take place Friday, September 1 – Monday, September 4, 2017.

“Telluride Film Festival has long been a platform for films from many different cultures and backgrounds that celebrate diversity,” said Telluride Film Festival executive director Julie Huntsinger.  “We feel it’s more important than ever to promote the unique and beautiful differences that exist in the world.  From a wide range of new American and foreign cinema to eye-opening documentaries and gorgeous restorations, we are proud to present this 44th program and honor those artists who have made it possible.”

The festival will present 2017 Silver Medallion Awards to actor Christian Bale and cinematographer Ed Lachman for their contributions to cinema.

Danielle Solzman

Danielle Solzman is native of Louisville, KY, and holds a BA in Public Relations from Northern Kentucky University and a MA in Media Communications from Webster University. She roots for her beloved Kentucky Wildcats, St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, and Boston Celtics. Living less than a mile away from Wrigley Field in Chicago, she is an active reader (sports/entertainment/history/biographies/select fiction) and involved with the Chicago improv scene.
