Comedy Central has given us the first look at the upcoming spin-off of The Daily Show: The Opposition with Jordan Klepper.

The Opposition with Jordan Klepper is set to premiere on September 25, 2017, at 11:30 PM ET/10:30 PM CT on Comedy Central.

According to Comedy Central:

The Opposition with Jordan Klepper will satirize the hyperbolic, conspiracy-laden noise machine that is the alternative-media landscape on both the right and left. The Opposition is the voice of the new America. It is the America that defines its own reality. It’s the America of paid protestors, Obama’s birth certificate, and the certainty that CNN is fake news.

In the time since joining The Daily Show in 2014, Klepper has shined in both in the studio and the field.  Comedy Central aired his one-hour special, Jordan Klepper Solves Guns, in June.

Comedy Central has not made anything official yet but Deadline has reported that Klepper will have some correspondents of his own.  Josh Sharp, Aaron Jackson, Laura Grey, Kobi Libii and Tim Baltz have reportedly been hired.  Baltz and Klepper are both alumni on Big Ten Network’s Friday Night Tailgate several years ago.

Jordan Klepper, Stuart Miller and Trevor Noah will executive produce.  Kim Gamble and Ian Berger will co-executive produce.  Owen Parsons is the head writer while Russ Armstrong will serve as senior writer.  Steve Bodow will be a consulting producer on the series.  Chuck O’Neil will be directing.
