New Thor: Ragnarok Trailer Debuts at Comic Con

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in Marvel Studios' THOR: RAGNAROK.

A new trailer for Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok made its official debut on Saturday during the Marvel presentation at Comic Con in Hall H.

The trailer starts out with Thor (Hemsworth) catching up Hulk (Ruffalo) on everything that’s happened to him following Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Ruffalo is shown in both Hulk and Bruce Banner form during the trailer.  As evidenced by the graphic above and in the trailer, Thor puts together a team that includes Loki (Hiddleston) to take on Hela (Blanchett).

Taika Waititi directs from a screenplay written by Eric Pearson.  The story was written by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Eric Pearson.  The cast features Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

Kevin Feige produces while Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Thomas M. Hammel, and Stan Lee serve as executive producers.

Synopsis:

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok —the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger —the Incredible Hulk!

Based on his cameo during the scene that followed Doctor Strange, one can only assume that Benedict Cumberbatch might have a cameo role as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Thor: Ragnarok will thunder into theaters on November 3, 2017.
