The first trailer was released yesterday for The Greatest Showman, an upcoming musical due out this December.

Directed by Michael Gracey from a screenplay written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon, The Greatest Showman stars Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, and Zendaya.

This is Gracey’s feature debut.  The Australian filmmaker has previously served as a producer and creative designer for Will Young Live in London and worked on the visual effects for quite a few projects.  For a feature debut, this appears to be quite the spectacle.

Synopsis:

The Greatest Showman is a bold and original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and the sense of wonder we feel when dreams come to life.
