The Goldbergs series creator Adam F. Goldberg lost many Twitter followers after people thought he was tweeting his views on Donald Trump instead of Spaceballs president Skroob of Planet Spaceball.
It all started with this tweet:

For people that watch a show about the 1980s, its really hard to believe that they didn’t get the reference. Yeah, I mean I understand how someone could get it all screwed up but Goldberg added a photo of Lord Dark Helmet, played by Rick Moranis, as a way of making sure people got the reference. Spaceballs is a 1987 comedy classic written and directed by Mel Brooks.
There are so many classic lines from Spaceballs that they stick with you for a long time. It’s safe to say that many people have either not watched the movie or they completely forgot the characters–which seems to be impossible for a Mel Brooks picture because how can you not forget the characters?!?
The Schwartz may be strong in Goldberg but much he has to learn. The Goldbergs will return on ABC this fall.
